At Midnight Part I
In studying this section of Exodus with some amount of extensity, the Holy Spirit is unveiling amazing prophetic parallels with our day and the hour in which we live, one of those being: God's deliverance comes at midnight.
"Then moses said, " Thus says the Lord: 'About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt;" -Exodus 11:4-5 NKJV
In announcing the final plague to Moses, God declares: "I am coming at midnight!" In other words, when the night is darkest, when all hope looks as though it is past and gone, I will bring an deliverance and rescue! I will bring an end to your suffering! This is the first mention of the word "midnight" in Scripture, so we may apply the law of first reference and we can deduce that this terminology carries this meaning of God breaking in at the darkest point of the night. If we trace this word, "midnight" throughout the Word of God we will find just the case.
